January
through April 2019
Lake Manatee
State Park
Bradenton,
FL
The first
four months of the year we spent work-camping, visiting family, celebrating
special occasions, taking care of truck issues, making improvements to our RV
and doctor visits.
We celebrated
my Dad’s 85th birthday in January.
My daughter Renee is on the left and Monte's daughter, Melissa is on the right.
My daughter
Renee flew in from Arizona for a short visit.
We crammed a lot of activities in one week including a day out on my
brother’s boat.
We attended
a gender reveal party to find out the sex of my nephews’ baby due in July.
It’s a boy so my grandnephew will have a baby
brother.
To show
their appreciation, the staff at Lake Manatee State Park hosted a dinner and
awarded certificates.
We were able
to spend a lot of time with our co-workers at potluck dinners and casual get-togethers.
Our truck
began hesitating when we went over a certain speed. Luckily we found a local place to take it
where they specialize in diesels and were able to diagnose the problem as the
Throttle position sensor.
Monte
installed a surge guard. We had been
using a plug in surge protector. It
worked great but having a wired in surge protector makes us feel just a little
safer.
We also had
to replace the fan in the evaporator.
And I
decided to replace the wallpaper border in our living room and bathroom.
The border on the right is the old border and
was the same in the living room and bathroom.
We were
scheduled to leave Lake Manatee on May 1st to get back on the road
again for 7 months but unfortunately Monte has a health issue that is going to
prevent us from leaving. He has some
tests and follow-up doctor appointments scheduled for May. SO at this point our plans are up in the air.
