Week of June
4 through 8, 2019
On our first
travel day we got a late start so we only drove 100 miles ending up at Blueberry
Hill RV Resort in Bushnell, FL.
We knew
what to expect because stayed at the park last November on our way back to
Florida. The rate with our Passport
America was only $19.
We enjoyed a
refreshing dip in the pool followed by a shower in one of the nicest restrooms
we have encountered in our 7 years of life on the road.
The
following day we traveled 190 miles to Cain’s Creekside RV Park in Hahira, Ga. We had stayed at the park a couple of years
ago and I found it as nice as I had remembered.
When we are
traveling for months at a time we get into a routine for preparing to depart
and setting up at a campground. Having
been in one place for six months we got a little rusty so we made a little goof
setting up. We forgot to measure the
space between the slide and utilities.
When I began to open the slide I heard Monte yelling for me to
stop. We were a couple of inches short
of the space we needed which required us re-hitching and moving over. Lesson learned.
We had only
planned on staying at Creekside for two days.
On the morning we were due to depart I called the RV park where we
planned on going to next and was told they would not have any open sites until
Sunday. Luckily we were able to extend
at Creekside for an additional two days.
Monte took advantage of the good water pressure in the park to pressure
wash our tanks. The rest of the time we
just relaxed.
