June 22, 2013
Cape Blanco State Park, OR
We weren’t scheduled for the lighthouse until 12:30 so it was great to be able to sleep in after getting up early all week.
It was a fairly easy shift but we were still exhausted from our busy week and I was looking forward to being a couch potato.
BUT we couldn’t leave because a visitor decided to go down to the shore to fish and parked along the road leading to the exit.  We are not supposed to close and lock the gate if there are any cars still on the property.
Lee, our co-host walked the path down to the shore to inform the gentleman he needed to move his car.  So, by the time the man walked up the trail and moved his car we had been delayed leaving by an hour.
