The
WiFi connection here with our MiFi is so slooooooow!
It
took me three hours to research possible places to go when we leave here. It appears that there is no shortage of
beautiful places within 100 miles but the problem is that many of them do not
open until Memorial Day weekend. The
ones that are already open and can be reserved are already booked up so it
looks like we will take our chances that there will be a spot for us on the
ones that are first come first served.
I
did something I haven’t done in a long time-just sat and read for hours.
I felt kind of guilty about it because while
I was reading Monte was cleaning and treating the seal on our big slide.
It was a very tight squeeze and it was
extremely hot.
I
brought a portable battery operated fan up to him and he said it helped a
little.
After
dinner we took advantage of the showers at the rest rooms. It cost 50 cents for 5 minutes. Normally we don’t use public showers but we
want to conserve our fresh water and not fill up our gray tank. By using the public showers we are also
saving on propane by not heating the water.
Luckily both the men’s and women’s showers
were available at the same time. When
the water first came on it was ice cold but within a few seconds it became
scalding hot and there was no way to regulate the temperature.
After
our showers we walked approximately a mile around the campground and then sat
outside until the annoying flies chased us inside.
