  June 16- 22, 2019

Georgia and Tennessee
On the 16th we traveled to Payne Campground in Acworth, GA.

The campground is typical of many Corp of Engineer parks.

The sites are spacious, the bathrooms are dated but clean and there is hardly anyone staying during the week.
We mostly just relaxed during our four day stay only venturing out to stock up on groceries and have a picnic lunch at the top of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.  We had visited the park back in 2014 so we skipped the film and museum this visit.
The remainder of the week we spent in Spring City, TN at Bitner’s RV where we caught up on laundry.
Our only excursion was to attend the Nine Mile Bluegrass Festival in Pikeville, TN.

On our way to the festival we had our GPS set to RV mode so it took us 40 miles around a mountain.
On the return trip we switched to car mode.  The route took us through the mountain on a very steep road with switchbacks but it cut the travel in half.

The festival was held on private property at the Edmons Music Barn.  I couldn’t find an address to put into the GPS nor could I find directions on-line so we entered the address of the Fire Department just to get us to the area and then luckily we passed a sign for the entrance to the farm.
Driving down a dirt road we came across a booth collecting the $5 per person fee for entrance and found a spot to park on the grass.
We spent about three hours listening to one band after another.  Some were better than others but all in all it was entertaining.
