Rudd Creek Recreation Area

Boydton, VA

The recreation area is located across the road from the campground. 

 We packed a picnic lunch and rode across the highway. 

We chatted with the attendant at the entrance booth for a few minutes and were disappointed to discover that there is only a hiking trail not suitable for bikes so we made our way to the picnic area. 

We had a leisurely lunch enjoying the scenery.

 

The trees have begun to change colors-just glorious!

 

A rainstorm rolled in late afternoon and continued on through the night.
