Santa Fe RV Park
Apache Junction, AZ
The opening for the shelves are too large
so cans fall out behind the drawer when we travel.
Materials: (2) 7’ white alum screen
framing.
Package
5mm shelf support angle nickel (8pk)
Package
6 5/8” Oval Quad Deep Thread nickel
screws.
Package #8
x 5/8” Pan Head Phillips screws
Step 1:
Monte cut three 20” strips of white alum screen framing and screwed in across
the middle of opening of each shelf on the side next to the oven. We decided to have the strips on this side
stationary because it is awkward to access cans on this side as there is not
much room to move when the drawer is pulled out.
Step 2:
Monte installed an angle support on each side of the opening.
Step 3:
Monte then cut three 17” strips of while alum screen framing
and drilled holes
on the ends to correspond with the angle supports.
Hopefully for approximately $13 we have solved the problem of the
wandering cans but we won’t know until we’re on the road again.
We
received a severe dust storm warning on our phones in the early afternoon while
the sky was still clear.
BUT by 4PM the
visibility was so poor that we could hardly make out the mountains in the
distance.
