Travel day
from Mill Creek CG, Berlin Center, Ohio
To Bald
Eagle State Campground, Howard, PA
We got up
early and began our departure preparation.
Our goal was to leave the campground by 11AM.
By the time
we pulled out of our site and dumped the tanks (after 11 days) it was just a
little after 11.
We only had
to travel approximately 200 miles.
Our first
stop came up fast as we passed the Pennsylvania State line and stopped at the
Welcome Center.
An hour
later we stopped for lunch.
We really
enjoyed the scenery including the gently rolling hills.
Just one
last stop before reaching our exit.
Bald Eagle
State Park is located in the town of Howard just 9 miles off exit I-80.
The office
was closed when we arrived so we followed the check in procedures. Monte parked the rig and got into the Jeep
with me so we could check out the available sites. Once we selected our site, I drove him back
to get the rig.
The site has
electric-no water but there was a spigot close enough for our hose to reach so
we could fill up.
Once we were
set up I drove the Jeep to the overflow parking area located just outside the
loop.
After dinner
we took advantage of the hot showers in the nearby bathhouse.
