Lindenhurst, NY

The main reason we came to this area was to visit with my son, Ryan, who lives on Long Island.  When I researched how much it would cost between gas, diesel and tolls to take our rig and Jeep onto the Island we decided it would be better to stay in New Jersey and just go onto the Island for the day.

We set the alarm for 6AM, left the park at 7AM and began the two and a half hour drive that took us across the Outerbridge Crossing and Verrazano Bridge into Brooklyn and then through Nassau County finally arriving at a little after 9:30AM.

We spent the entire day visiting with my son and his beautiful girlfriend, Jen.
