When Monte went to check the hard drive to
see if it had recorded the program we had set up last night, he wasn’t able to
access the hard drive at all. Before
calling Dish, he unplugged the unit and went through the entire acquiring signals
and downloading program guide.
The outcome is that Dish is going to be
sending us a second receiver to swap out.
So, in the meantime, he uninstalled the
replacement receiver and reinstalled our original receiver. When he tried installing the external hard
drive he got an error code instructing him to call Dish---SHEESH!
When he called Dish, they had him unplug
the external hard drive, reboot the receiver and then plug the hard drive back
in. WE had to go through another reboot
and program guide download before the set-up was completed.
The afternoon was spent lazing in and
around the pool. No other residents
showed up so we had the pool all to ourselves.
I could get used to this.
