Santa Fe RV Park
Apache Junction, AZ
Wednesday-We dropped the truck off at the Dodge Dealer in Mesa for service.

In the afternoon we took a ride to my daughter Renee’s house and spent a few hours visiting with my twin eight-year old granddaughters.

Monte played chess with Daphne and was very impressed with her knowledge of the game.

After a wonderful dinner we called it a night as we were both still tired from yesterday’s long travel day.
Thursday-The Dodge Dealer Service Tech called with good news-Our extended warranty is going to cover over $1,600 worth of repairs for the truck.
During the day Monte worked on servicing our bikes while I started research on our next destination when we leave Apache Junction.

In the late afternoon we spent a couple of hours with our granddaughters and enjoyed another great meal prepared by Renee’s BFF, Deb.
Friday-We received a call that our truck was ready to be picked up.  The total bill came to over $2,100.  Because of our great extended warranty our portion only came to a little over $500.
After I dropped Monte off at the dealer, I went to my daughter’s house to pick up our twin granddaughters, Kennedy and Daphne, who were going to be spending the night in our rig.
Santa Fe RV Park has a very nice, clean heated pool.
I was quite impressed with the twins swimming ability.  They had a great time jumping in and getting on Grandpa Monte’s shoulders and then thrown off into the water.

After dinner at Taco Bell we stopped in at Walmart to get a Redbox movie.  The girls had already seen almost all of the appropriate family movies so the choice was very limited.  We settled on IVAN THE INCREDIBLE, the story of a young boy who is being bullied at school and by his own father who wants Ivan to be more like his hero, Tarzan.  It turns out the father had been bullied as a child.
When it came time for the girls to go to sleep, Monte opened up the sofa sleeper and inflated the air mattress.
Saturday-The sleepover was a success!  After a pancake breakfast we loaded the 4 pillows, 22 stuffed animals, two suitcases and the girls into the car and headed back to their house where we spent another great day visiting.

Sunday-Lazy day.  Lounged around all morning and spent the afternoon at Renee’s house.
Daphne buried under her stuffed animals.
