We
were working the AM shift in the Greeting Center today. Part of our responsibility is to take a wind
reading.
Normally we have readings from
30-45 MPH. Today there was NO wind to
measure. Between the lack of wind and
the strong sun it was actually quite warm and wonderful.
Lee,
who was working in the lantern room,
had to sweep off the dead birds from the
outside ledge.
We
had only one visitor the first hour but then there were non-stop visitors the
remainder of our shift.
After
a quick lunch, we took our laptops into the library to use the internet. I had copied down the library hours from
their website and was under the impression that Thursday they were open until
8pm.
BUT
at 5:50 an announcement was made that the library was closing in ten
minutes.
We
picked up a few grocery items before heading back to the campground.
We
were disappointed for the second night in a row not to see any whales on our
nightly walk down to the bluff overlooking the beach.
