Cape
Blanco State Park
Port
Orford, OR
Not
only were we not able to get a signal on our satellite but we also have not
been able to receive any local TV channels with our antenna. I had recorded many hours of programming on
our DVR so we were able to watch TV for a couple of hours last night.
We
are tossing around the idea of ordering a tailgater for circumstances like this
where the dish is blocked by trees. Con:
the cost ($350) and storage.
Pro:
we would be assured of receiving a signal in almost any situation between the
tailgater and our roof mounted unit.
What
to do! What to do!
These
are our resident bunnies.
I
made French toast for brunch and then did some homework. There are so many facts
to learn for our tours.
We
took a ride back to the lighthouse to take a tour so we could pick up
some pointers from Lee and Carol in the lighthouse and Norm and Cheryl in the
Greeting Center.
These
pictures were taken from the bluff on the lighthouse road.
Is this really June?
Monte’s
hat blew off.
Luckily
it didn’t go far.
And
he was able to retrieve it.
The
town of Orford is less than 10 miles from the campground.
We took a ride to get familiar with the
town.
A
couple of deer we encountered on a road we turned down to explore.
After
a stop into the library to check out the hours and WiFi situation,
we stopped
in at Rays’ Market for a few grocery items.
Sheep
we encountered on another side road.
After
dinner we took a walk down to the beach.
And then a walk around the campground.
This is one of four cabins available at the campground
I'm not sure what kind of flower this is but the colors are so vibrant.
