Humbug
Mountain State Park
It
was chilly and noisy this morning. We
are very close to the highway and could hear passing traffic.
I
spent a couple of hours trying to upload pictures for the blog but kept getting
an error reading so I may have to wait until we go to the library to post the
blogs.
Monte
worked on getting the rear of the rig stabilized.
When we first arrived yesterday he had used
some plastic crates temporarily. We got
some wooden blocks from our park manager, Greg.
I
took these pictures of the place we will call home for the next couple of
months.
It
was nice to be able to sit outside for lunch.
Monte
and I spent a couple of hours going through the JR Ranger program kits trying
to create a schedule. We will present a
program five mornings the first week and five different programs the second
week before repeating programs from the first week.
After
lunch we took a bike ride to the beach.
Really! One of my pet peeves--using our beautiful beach as a garbage disposal.
Someone made the effort to put the poop in the bag and then left it on the beach.
Look at all the bird nests.--Isn't nature wonderful!
This tunnel under the highway leads to a hiking trail.
We will have to save that hike for another day.
In
the late afternoon Monte and I practiced knots.
In addition to the established program kits we are going to create and
introduce a brand new knot tying program.
