Humbug
Mountain State Park
Today
our presentation was on animal tracks.
We had 32 in attendance. Monte
had pictures of 14 different animals and the type of track they leave. He told a few facts about each animal.
I
had created a match-up that had a column with the names of the animals and
across the page was a column with the pictures of the animals. The children had
to draw a line to connect the correct picture with its name.
I
had also created a tracking guide that had pictures of the tracks with a line
next to it. The kids had to write the
name of the animal on the line next to the picture.
When I created the guide it was with a group of up to 10
kids in mind because it is a little confusing and I knew the kids were going to
need help to complete it. So it was a
little chaotic having so many kids in attendance. Luckily a few parents stayed and helped with
the younger kids.
After lunch I spent a couple of hours getting tomorrow’s
kit arranged and prepping part of the craft we are going to do. It is another difficult craft and I hope to
save time by doing part of the craft in advance.
