Sun & Fun R.V. Park
Tulare, CA
We slept pretty good considering we were in a parking lot and it was chilly.
I still had some of my winnings left from the slots at Circus Circus so I suggested we go to Denny’s for breakfast.

Our next stop was the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce to get some literature on possible places to stay in the area.  We didn’t find anything interesting so we decided to move on.

A slight delay caused by a passing train.
The camera doesn't do justice to the color of the mountains

We passed several windmill farms
And stopped at a very impressive rest area.
We took CA58 through Bakersfield and then went north on 99 arriving at the RV Park at 2pm.  While Monte set up, I gathered up the dirty clothes and went in search of the Laundromat.  There were several machines so it didn’t take long to do three loads.
We found out there was a California Welcome Center nearby so we took a ride and arrived 5 minutes before closing time.  The clerk was very informative and gave us literature for Yosemite and then dropped the bomb on us that we may not be able to get in without tire chains because snow was forecasted.  WHAT!  SNOW!
Back to the drawing board---I’m not sure what we are going to do at this point.
