May 25, 2013
Washoe Lake State Park
Carson City, NV
I really expected to have a miserable night with the wind blowing and rippling the slide toppers BUT one of the benefits of the stabilizing system Monte installed while we were staying at Lake Mead is a diminished rippling on the toppers.  Yeah!
It was cold last night but between our flannel PJ’s and our down comforter we were quite cozy.
We lounged around in bed in the morning until my stomach started growling and I made bacon and eggs for breakfast.

In the late afternoon I grilled hamburgers for lunch/dinner.

Our water pump is really loud-louder than it has been so I hope that doesn't mean it is on its way out.
Monte wrapped the hoses with swim noodles and it helped lesson the vibration.
We took a drive with no real destination planned and ended up in Reno, 18 miles away.

We stopped at the 99 cents store because Monte wanted to stock up on Mountain Dew.

I also picked up a six pack of peppers (red, yellow and green), a large portion of broccoli, a package of mushrooms and strawberries.

We hadn’t planned on shopping so I wasn’t sure how we were going to fit all the things we bought in my very crowded trunk.

But Monte rearranged things and managed to fit everything in.

Our next stop was Sam’s Club where we bought a few more items.  Back at the car, Monte worked his magic again and fit everything in the trunk and back seat.

After putting away the groceries we went for a walk around the campground loop.
It was chilly but that didn’t stop people from having campfires and BBQs.

We were 100% charged by 8pm so we turned on the inverter and the satellite and watched a little TV before calling it an early evening.
