Boulder Beach Campground
 Lake Mead Recreation Area
 Boulder City, NV
I spent a good part of the morning researching our next move.  We are planning on going to Yosemite.  I thought I had it all planned out but when I went to check the route again I noticed that one of the roads on our route might still be closed.
The new route adds a hundred miles to our trip and is going to take us south a little into California before heading north again but I think traveling on highways rather than mountain roads will be worth the extra miles.
We made a trip into Henderson to fill up one of our propane tanks and stopped at Walmart for a few groceries.
While we were out we received a call from our neighbors, Herb and Anke, informing us that the wind had really picked up at the campground and they were going to secure our awning for us.  (There had been no wind when we left-but this experience is a good lesson that we have to get in the habit of retracting the awning when we leave because next time we may not be lucky to have such good neighbors looking out for us.)
We invited Herb & Anke to join us for a BBQ
and spent a very pleasant evening chatting.
