Boulder Beach Campground
 Lake Mead Recreation Area
& Sam’s Club in Palmdale, CA
Moving day.  We had been in this great spot for 12 days so it took us a little longer to get ready than it takes when we are only at a place for a couple of days.  Monte got the outside ready while I worked on the inside.
Monte always checks all the tires as part of our departure routine.
We said goodbye to our neighbors, Herb & Anke, who were also moving on today.

This is what happens when I forget to remove a wheel chuck and Monte drives over it.

It was overcast almost the entire day so I was a little surprised that our batteries got a full charge.

Approaching an Agriculture checkpoint

We are slowly making our way towards Yosemite taking a more southern route to avoid roads that may still be closed near Yosemite.  We took I-15 from Las Vegas, crossing into California.
I had researched a place that accepts Passport America for just a one night stop so we could get caught up on laundry.  But when we arrived, it was not a desirable place to stay.  It was getting late so we decided to find a Walmart to just park for the night and worry about the laundry another day.  The closest Walmart was 30 miles away.
The last couple of miles, until we reached Walmart, was stressful because it was rush hour and we had cars cutting us off from all directions.
When we finally arrived at Walmart we ended up staying next door at Sam’s Club because there was more room in the parking lot.
We treated ourselves to dinner at Famous Dave’s using some of my winnings from playing the slots at Circus Circus.

When we were ready to go to sleep, we brought the slides in and snuggled in our down comforter.  What a difference from the previous night when we went to bed with the windows open.
