Boulder Beach Campground
 Lake Mead Recreation Area
 Boulder City, NV
Chores, chores and more chores!  While Monte cleaned off the bugs and road dirt from our rig, I wiped down all the wood inside with a solution of Murphy’s soap.  I didn’t really notice a difference in the cabinets as I was wiping them down but the dirty water when I was done showed how much they needed the cleaning.
I nagged Monte enough about continuing on with our inventory project so that he finally stopped making excuses and we started just after lunchtime and didn’t finish until dinnertime.
We started with the items that were underneath the slide out tray in the basement and moved on to his tool chest.

Then the bigger items like the compressor,

and extension ladder.  We ended up taking over 125 pictures of the items in the basement alone.  That is a lot of stuff.  At one point I turned to Monte and (like the line in Jaws that goes something like, I THINK WE ARE GOING TO NEED A BIGGER BOAT) I said, I think we are going to need a bigger RV.

At a later date, we still have to inventory the items in the front storage compartment including our batteries, the rear of the rig that houses our bike rack and bikes as well as the items on the roof (solar panels satellite and vent covers.)  In addition we want to include the items underneath the rig including our new stabilizing system and the add-ons we had installed at MorRyde.
After all that is completed we can move onto the items in my car as well as the items in the truck.
I wanted to do this inventory list not only for insurance considerations but also so we know where we have things stored.  If we want to look for something and can’t quite remember where we placed it we will be able to look at the pictures organized by area in and out of the rig.
It was such a pleasant evening we decided to sit outside to eat dinner.

Monte went up on the roof to putter around and took some pictures.

Monte "just resting his eyes" as he snored

After our evening walk around the campground, accompanied by our new friends, Herb and Anke, we tried watching TV outside but between the smoke from numerous campfires and the loud noise from a group or rowdy weekenders, we gave up went inside shutting all the windows.

Through closed windows, we could still hear the noisy group until after 2am when I finally fell asleep.
