RV Dreams Boondocking Rally
Arcadia, FL
DAY SIX
It was another chilly, yet beautiful day in
the cow pasture.
We made our way over to the Solo Café.
DJ frying up some bacon--Bacon smells good every time but for some reason it smells even better when it is cooked outdoors.
When Monte noticed Howard out in the middle
of the field launching his newly purchased quadracopter, he had to go
investigate.
Kyra set up her bar.
As usual there was plenty of food.
When Howard began flying his quadracopter,
Monte put on his hard hat to tease Howard about his flying ability.
After breakfast we took a short ride down
the road to a property that is for sale.
Howard and Linda have a dream of creating an RV co-op and think the land
would be perfect.
In the early afternoon a few of us elected
to go kayaking. Jean had expressed an
interest in our inflatable kayak. We
have two-a large two man one and one that is supposed to be a two man but
really is better suited as a solo kayak.
Monte showed Jean how to inflate the kayak.
It was an absolutely perfect day.
Jean really took to kayaking like she had been doing it for years.
One of many alligators we spotted
All too soon it was time to return to the dock and deflate the kayaks.
We ended up selling our small Kayak to Jean-we really don't need it and will be happy to have the extra room in the rig.
As a special Valentine’s Day treat, dinner
included a roasted wild hog.
Unfortunately I just couldn’t eat the hog—Two
times I went up to the table intending on helping myself to the pork BUT when I
saw the head I JUST COULDN’T DO IT.!
BUT there was plenty of other food so I DID
NOT walk away hungry.
After dinner, people separated into two groups—those
that wanted to sit around the campfire
and those that wanted to watch a movie
Monte set up. I was surprised at how
many people had never seen Young Frankenstein.
