RV Dreams Boondocking Rally
Arcadia, FL
DAY SEVEN
At nine AM we made our way over to the Solo
Café for our final breakfast.
Kyra mixing up her daily brew!
Ring, ring==breakfast is ready
After breakfast we had a very good time at
the show and tell session. It was at
times very humorous.
Howard started the show and tell off by demonstrating his portable solar panel.
Gina followed with a demonstration of her tiny solar panel
Followed by her porta potty system that includes a large plastic container that she lines with a plastic bag. Next comes the kitty litter which is topped off with a toilet seat.
Bug zapper
Portable picnic table with bench
Solar charger
An unglazed tile helps propane ovens to heat evenly
Arlene buys small amounts of bagged spices she keeps in a container
propane heater
Louise demonstrated something called a Wonder bag that apparently can slow "cook" a meal.
It is something I may be interested in purchasing so I am going to do some research on the bag.
Monte demonstrated his homemade sign post
as well as his various uses for suction cups.
Monte and our neighbor, Bob, helped one of
the female solo RVers with an issue she was having with her antenna.
She had a new roof put on recently and
apparently the installer did not re-install her antenna. She was quite pleased that Bob and Monte were
able to help her out.
Nice job guys!
While the guys were up on Arlene’s roof, I
chatted with Kyra while DJ gave her a haircut.
Once it got dark we had our final campfire.
Time for smores!
I
think most people gathered around the fire were reluctant to leave-we ended up
calling it a night just after 10 PM.
