September 7, 2012

We skyped with my niece Christine last night who lives in Fort McMurray, Alberta in Canada.  She called to wish her brother Adam a Happy Birthday.  Skype is such a great way to keep in touch with friends and family who live far away.

This morning we got up early so we could spend the morning in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  It was only an hour’s drive from Spokane where my nephew lives.

We started our morning excursion by taking a walk along the lake.

It was a bit breezy but quite comfortable.  We then drove along the lake and stopped at the Gozzer Ranch Gas Station where we ordered a couple of pizzas and sat outside on a deck overlooking the lake.  We had the entire deck to ourselves.  The pizza was delicious and the scenery was breathtaking.

After lunch we drove to the Gozzer Ranch resort marina and looked at the sleek boats and sat on the beach.

All too soon it was time to head back to the house so Adam and Danielle could get ready to go to work.

Monte puttered around outside in the rv while I took advantage of the good internet connection inside to take care of some banking and scan our receipts in the computer.  We had planned on going to bed early as we are leaving in the morning but ended up talking until 1am.  It has been a wonderful visit and we really appreciate the warm hospitality Adam and Danielle showed us.  They are a great young couple.
