Goodwill Shopping in Venice, Fl
Last month, while driving through Venice, we stumbled upon a Goodwill that ended up being a real score for me as far as shirts.  Normally out of 15 or so tops I try on I may end up liking how 1 or 2 look.  But that particular day I ended up with 8 old but gently used tops, most with designer labels for $2.99 each.
So, when I told my mom about my score she said she wanted to go with me if I ever went again.  We made a date to go today.  Unfortunately, out of the 9 tops I took into the dressing room, I only liked 2.  But I can’t put a price on spending time with my mom so I still feel like I scored!

Rainy day in Englewood, FL
We had planned on doing some shopping but just as we were about to go out the heavens opened up and it poured.  I thought the rain wouldn’t last long so we waited and waited and waited.  Finally at 5, when it was still raining we decided we didn’t need anything badly enough to brave the weather and just settled in for the night.
Monte did change out our Dish replacement receiver (our 6th replacement since arriving in Englewood at the end of November)  The issue with the receiver is that it periodically stops, without warning, at any time of the day to reboot.  We have taken advantage of being in one place where we could receive packages to try to solve the problem.  BUT every receiver we have been sent is a refurbished model and we are still having the same issue.  Hopefully the receiver Monte installed today will be "the one".
Satellite Receiver Replacement-Dish Networks
This receiver is the 6th receiver from Dish Networks.  This one is made in Mexico-The others were made in India, China, etc.-The first receiver was purchased from Camping world and was brand new.  Everyone from dish was remanufactured. (Never a new one sent, but many times requested.)

Now shut down receiver and hard drive.
            Back of receiver.
Removing the receiver and wiring connections.
Placing Velcro tabs in place to prevent the unit from moving while the Rig is being transported.
Pre assembly of some of the connections.
Reinstalling the receiver.
Still securing the receiver in place.

The Old Receiver made in India.

The receiver is now installed and powered up and then just goes through all the Dish Requirements.  Activating the receiver, acquiring the signals or the satellites, and downloading the program guide and scanning the local HDTV Channels.

You should now be able to once again use the receiver.
All of the previous receivers had various problems from rebooting in the middle of watching programs to turning off in the middle of the night and having to reacquire the satellite signals in the mornings.
Good Luck

Chore day in Englewood, FL
I spent the better part of the morning gathering up papers for my tax return.  The weather was so nice I took a bike ride around the park and then decided to spend the afternoon reading.  AAHHH.
Monte felt more inclined to do some overdue chores.
It had been so hot last May while we were at Lake Mead in Nevada that Monte installed a fan to aid in the cooling of our refrigerator.  Today, he noticed the fan had blown out and decided to replace it.
Fan-Refrigerator Ventilation Replacement
Remove old auxiliary fan and discard.

Prepare a new 7” computer fan available at any computer store-Staples-Best Buy-Etc.

You might have to be a little ingenious at mounting the new fan.

New fan in place with quick connectors in place. (taken from old computer Parts)

     Secure fan in place.

             Plug in power connectors.

    Finished fan installation.

This fan will increase air flow up and help increase the efficiency of the cooling coils-especially in hotter climates.
The original fan was bought in camping world to aid in cooling but the supplied fan failed after -months and a computer fan was substituted and replacement parts and now more available.
Good luck.  Any questions just ask on our blog.
