Holly Point CG, Falls Lake State Recreation Area

Wake Forest, NC

It rained all day again. 

We took advantage of the lull in the rain to take a walk. 

All the rain left our campsite muddy so I put on my old sneakers because I didn’t want to get my good walking shoes dirty.

The campground has a series of loops and we are the only campers in our loop.

We made our way down to the boat ramp and beach area.

 

 

 

 

 

Plenty of loaner life vests

Roped off beach area. 

Nice to have a bench to sit on as you look out over the lake and

 just take in the beauty of the surroundings. 

On the way back we took the trail that leads from the beach and has an exit point near our loop.

There is beauty all around us-even in the mushrooms.

We are looking forward to tomorrow as there is no rain forecast.
