Travel day from Ridgeville to Hardeeville, SC

Although we only had a short 80 mile drive to our next destination we set the alarm for 7AM.
I wanted to allow plenty of time to travel further if we weren’t able to get a site in
the park we were headed to in Hardeeville.
We pulled out of the site by 9AM and beat another rig to the dump station by a couple of minutes.  Timing!
While Monte dumped I called the RV park in Hardeeville to see if they had open sites.  No problem.

We arrived before noon.  They have basically a self-registration system.
There was a sign with instructions to fill out a form and then call the number listed for a site number.  But while I was filling out the form, a park worker showed up to escort us to our assigned site, number 306.

We set up quickly and took a short ride into Savannah to the Visitor Center.
When we pulled into the parking lot at the center, Monte lowered the window to get a parking ticket.
When he tried to raise the window-nothing happened.
He stayed with the car trying to troubleshoot the problem while I went inside the center to get information.
I was mostly interested in finding out the parking situation in the city.  I found out that the Visitor Center sells a parking pass for $7 that can be used at any meter and at several public parking garages.  After 5PM and all day on the weekends the parking at meters is free.
I had read somewhere that parking is also available at the Convention Center located across the river.  The Clerk at the Visitor Center confirmed that free parking is allowed when there is no event at the center.
When I returned to the car Monte had the door panel removed and was testing all the connections.  Still no luck.
We drove back to the rig where looked up where the closest Advanced Auto was located.
After calling to make sure they had a new window regulator assembly, he picked up the part.

After replacing it the window works great.  We really hadn’t planned on spending $168 for this replacement so it kind of put a damper on our plans of treating ourselves to an expensive dinner out.
