Desert Sky

Apache Junction, AZ

I spent the morning writing my journal and gathering some papers for tax returns.

Monte continued doing research on his solar install he plans on beginning next week.

He also took a break to spend time with his buddy, Pumpkin.

In the afternoon we worked on a project together.  We chose two pictures from when we took our twin granddaughters hiking a couple of weeks ago and had them made into poster sized prints.

We also purchased foam board from the Dollar Tree and using spray adhesive attached the poster to the board.

We took a ride to Sports Chalet in Queen Creek because we had a $10 reward coupon that was going to expire soon.  Monte found a rain slicker that originally cost $50 and had been reduced to $12.50 so with the reward it ended up costing less than $4.00.

We had been invited to my daughter Renee’s house for dinner.  Renee has many talents but cooking is not one of them so thank goodness for her partner Deb who is an excellent cook because we had lasagna that was absolutely delicious.

We gave the twins their posters.
Unfortunately the posters were separating from the foam boards probably because they were in the hot car while we were shopping.  We will have to bring the spray adhesive and fix them the next time we go over to their house.

After dinner we played a few games of Skip-Bo.  Even Monte, who is not much for card games, played a couple of games.
