Desert Sky, Apache Junction,

When Monte and I decided to embark on this fabulous
journey we knew we would have to make some sacrifices. We gave up a lucrative business, a house that
took us years to make into a comfortable home and most of our personal
belongings. One of Monte’s biggest
sacrifices was giving up his motorcycle.
He had spent several years and a ton of money customizing the bike.
After making the heartbreaking decision to sell the bike,
we listed it but did not sell it prior to leaving. So we placed the bike on consignment at a
shop in Florida but I think secretly Monte was hoping it wouldn’t sell. But it sold faster than we expected and ever
since then Monte has been looking at all different modes of transportation on
Craig’s list.
He saw a scooter listed today at a private house not too
far from where we are staying. We
called and made arrangements to look at it.
The scooter (EZ-900) appeared to be in good shape but the battery was dead
so Monte offered $50 less than the asking price and it was accepted.
Folded up, it fit into
trunk of my small car.
When we got it
home Monte tried charging the battery but it is DEAD so he will have to
purchase a new one.
My heart really goes out to him because he went from this
To this
Sorry honey and thanks again for your sacrifice!
